Zubane is an educational reference app about the shared vocabulary and scripts of Hindi, Urdu, and their neighbor languages.

The short version

Zubane has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no trackers, and never identifies you or builds a profile. The only thing that leaves your device is the word, song, or article you ask about — sent to generate the answer, nothing more.

Details

No tracking or analytics. The app has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting services, and never tracks you across apps or websites.
Offline by default. The built-in dictionary, script chart, articles, and quizzes are bundled inside the app and work with no network connection at all.
Online features. Some features generate their answers on Zubane's server: Ask Zubane word lookups, song breakdowns, and the pronunciation and read-aloud audio. When you use one, the app sends only the text needed to answer — the word, song title, or article being read — to Zubane's server, which uses an AI model and a speech-synthesis service to produce the response. These requests carry no account, no name, and no advertising identifier. Like any internet request they include an IP address, which is used solely for daily rate limiting and is never stored in any profile, linked to an identity, or sold. Answers are cached on the server so the next person's lookup is instant — the cache stores what was asked, never who asked.
On your device. Your saved lookups, quiz progress, and settings stay on your device and are never uploaded.
No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
No tracking. The app contains no trackers and does not request the App Tracking Transparency permission, because it has nothing to track with.
Email. If you choose to email us at hello@zubane.com, we receive whatever you send and use it only to reply. We do not add you to any list.

Children

Zubane is safe for all ages. No personal data is collected from anyone, children included.

Changes

If a future version of Zubane ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated first, and the change will be called out in the App Store release notes.
